28 Down, Several To Go

Its been an interesting 28 years so far. At 3am this morning I will officially be 28 years old. I've had some good times and some bad ones as well. As I look to the future, I'm not sure what is in store for me and that is scary. At least I have Jana with me and that is good. Hopefully I won't screw up any more than I already have. I'm a far place from where I wish I were at this point in my life, but all I can do is pick myself up and try harder to make better decisions.

The Italian Job was pretty good last night. I wish Jana had a chance to watch it but I must return it on my home in the morning. Tonight's in cabin feature is History of the World, Part I. I should at least get some laughs in tonight if nothing else.

Spurrier Returns

I have resurrected Steve Spurrier. I have become the man that so many loved to hate. The big difference is of course my team isnt winning. Shoot, we arent even scoring! The visor however, IS flying. I give up. I don't know what to do. We play tough, then the girls fall apart. The same mistakes are made play after play and what was a very close and competitive game turns into a blow out loss. Clearly, I am not the man for this job. Somehow, I'm not getting through to the girls. They arent listening to instructions and I think it is because they don't want to listen to ME. Perhaps I should resign and give the job to someone else. I just dont know. I DONT KNOW!

Oh, tonight its THE ITALIAN JOB. A review will follow later.

Ok, the zonk boards are going to have to go since they are no longer free. Freaks! Maybe I can find I different route to go here. More later...at the sweat shop tonight.

Wow, what a Monday Night Football game. The COLTS were getting ransacked, (is that right,) and now its going into overtime, but the BUCS won the toss...hang on.

Ok, I'm back, the game is over and the COLTS won! It was a great comeback, but I'm not so sure about the bad call that led to the second attempt at the game winning field goal in OT. Oh well, its happens to us all. I'll take it.

Work has been ok so far. Pretty quiet. I'm probably going to get tired here in an hour or two. The weekend was pretty good, though the VOLS lost. I went on the Auburn trip with Jana and the band. Nice room, nice dinner Friday night, and a decent game experience. Got a great picture of Casey Clausen for Saundra. Just ask me for it, if you wanna see. LOL.

Sunday, Jana and I went to see School of Rock. I enjoyed it very much as I love Jack Black. "Lemme see your eyes bug out like somethings wrong. Yeah!"

Today, I went and bought my pumkins for decoration and for Halloween later this month. I just love this time of year. Georgia is in town this week and my uncle will be up. I think we might have two tickets for sale, so let me know if anyone needs some.

Wow, my last day of work this week. What a short week! Have a tennis match tommorrow night and then its off to Auburn on Friday. Actually we are staying in Atlanta, but Auburn is the destination. Should be another tough game, as usual.

I never got a chance to watch a movie last night, so tonight's feature is the same. Read last night's post for details. Thats all I really have to say. Laters!

We are live at the sweat shop again. Today was kinda one of those wasted days. Due to several interruptions, I did not sleep well. The firewood man came about a half hour after I had just gotten to sleep, so I had to get up and deal with that. Then the phone rang off and on all day with call backs from various bed and breakfast type places in Charleston that I had left messages with the day before. At least I got a place! Then the extermintor called to get directions and then showed up about 5 minutes later. So, I was awake for that whole event. We had some bees that were nesting up in the roof of the sunroom. He basically just sprayed them and said that should do it. If they are still flying around tommorrow I'm going to call back. Im not sure that did the trick. Tonight, the flag football team that I help coach had their first game. They made slight improvements from last year, but basically it was the same story. Played fairly well on defense but could not move the ball consistantly on offense. I feel like I'm not the man for the job. These girls don't seem to listen to me when I'm talking and thus, go out there and make the same mistakes over and over again. Its very frustrating. In the process, I look like a horrible coach to all those who are watching. Maybe I am. Oh well.

Tonight I'm going to watch A View From The Top. Its probably really stupid, but hey, I dont have anything else to do. I have somethings yet to do before I get to the movie so I'd better go.

Monday, Monday....nah nahhhh...nah, nah nahhhh

Ok, a lot of you probably have no idea what that title is all about, and I think thats how i'll keep it. (but, its a song.) I'm at work again. It's been several days since my last post so you'd think I'd have a whole lot to say. I really don't. Maybe I do and I'm just being lazy. I had a pretty good weekend really. Got to spend some time with Jana this time so thats good. Friday night I went to a high school game with Jana to see the flag corps that she and Saundra work with. Saturday, spent all day at UT, tailgating in the rain, and then of course went to the game. Sunday, slept in and then puttered around the house before going to see The Rundown with Jana. It was pretty good and I'd recommend it to anyone that I know.

Tonight I get to do battle with my eyelids again. I had the weekend off, including last night which was a surprise so I make the transition from one sleep schedule to another tonight. I plan on watching The Money Pit, which Jana got for me as an early birthday present on Friday night. I love this movie. It's an old Tom Hanks classic. His laugh when the tub falls through the floor is the best. Its going to be chilly again tonight and I fear this will be a cold winter. The past two winters have been nice, with the temps staying even in the 80s til late in the fall. We will be lucky to reach the 70s by the end of the week. I actually turned on the heat for about 20 minutes this morning to bring the temp in the house up from 63 to 68. I have 2 ricks of wood being delivered tommorrow in preperation for the winter months. When I get the fire going downstairs...look out! That thing can run you out of the house if you arent careful.

I just love fall though. Halloween is just around the corner. We should make plans to do something, since its on a Friday! See you tommorrow!
